All the State Facilities run the same schedule, with some variation which would depend on the Deputy of Security or the Dep of Programs - people who are employed by the state to make your stay at the State affordable for you taxpayers. You same taxpayers who lobbied, voted, committeed to put more of those people away! So now that you put them there, you need to pay for their food, shelter, clothing, education and ..... rehabilitation?
- NO WAYSo there they are, now you have to feed and clothe and heat them. Hot showers, washed clothes and bleached bedsheets. You also now realize you cannot afford to house this population who would never have come close to this place in the scheme of things, if there were a well-financed school and recreation system in the neighborhoods in which these people grew up.
Well, it's 6:30am - time for lights on and you get up and make your bed. Maybe you'll shower. Maybe you'll shower naked, maybe in your boxers - depends on how young and desirable you look, and how paranoid you are. That may be a problem in all prisons but it is a given in the maximum security prisons where guys are in for life or more.
I know a guy who would only shower naked when no one else was there, because he was afraid of other guys looking at him. Or so he told me. Then, I wonder why I once walked in and found him maked in a showerful of guys. He saw me and since he was afraid of what people would think he ran and put his boxers o. Then after I got out and he called me from prison I asked what that was all about. He said - "someday we will be in a hot tub together." Another famous quote from June, aka Eddie, famous at this Correctional facility for being the lover of a pedophile 20 years older than he.
